An adventure you wouldn’t forget

Posted by admin in Travel Tips on 06 24th, 2009

Road trips are often the most memorable kinds of vacations a family or group of friends can take. So instead of paying that extra luggage fee, spend your next vacation having an adventure. Family bonding is one way of having close family ties. It tightens the rope connecting the family members to one another. Recreational vehicles let you pack in more activities and locations for less money.

It’s a large vehicle in which the living space and the driver’s seat are all part of the same structure. Recreational vehicles, whether rented or owned offer various benefits some of which are; having the luxury of hauling around all the comforts of home without losing valuable luggage at the airport and all the like. Some of the RV parks offer the newest luxurious camping resort. They offer excellent swimming, hiking, scenic views just in one place.

Pop up is a type of recreational vehicle that can accommodate two to eight people and is basically a tent on wheels. Most experts recommend a pop up if you are about to purchase your first recreational vehicle. So, if you are looking for the perfect bonding moment with your family and friends, recreational vehicles are made just for you!

A Rejuvenating Place

Posted by admin in Leisure, Travel on 05 2nd, 2009

It is never easy to let go of the past. That is the thing I have realized when faced with a traumatic experience. After the tragic accident that occurred to our family 3 months ago, things do not seem to be the same anymore. So a concerned family’s friend told us about a place where we can let go of the tragic past and start a new life.

A place where people who have the same traumatic experience can share their innermost thoughts to be able to verbalize the feelings that seems to be hard to vent out. The sedona vortex offers an experience of a lifetime. It is like a magic land for those who have experienced the sedona retreats . Our family friend is definitely one of them. I can see the transition from him since the time they were faced with the family problem. I realized that this is also the time to heal all wounds of the past.

Maybe spiritual retreats like this is the way for us to accept the tragic past and move on with our lives. It has been 3 months since my mother passed away but the recovery seems to be out of reach for us who loves her so much. I know she would be very happy to know that we have moved on but her memories would always stay with us.

Travel Advisory

Posted by admin in Travel on 04 29th, 2009

It was a sunny Tuesday and I was watching the news when I heard about the swine flu virus that spreads from Mexico up to Canada and the latest country affected, the United States of America .The swine flu virus intensifies travel alerts and for a businessman like me who travels a lot, it lessens the worry to know that airports already  have their thermal scanner that can detect people with flu and those who are possible carrier of the virus. Yet it’s still alarming to know that the virus already killed numbers of people without them knowing that they are already affected by swine flu because the symptoms are very similar to the regular human flu and can only be diagnosed through medical testing.

Those symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, bodyaches and headaches, chills, and fatigue.  In severe cases, it can lead to respiratory problems and pneumonia. Flu germs can live for hours on surfaces such as doorknobs and desks. They can enter your body if you touch a contaminated surface and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth. Try to avoid close contact with sick people. Having a  good hand wash,  not giving that little kiss of greeting when you’re meeting someone, or doing those sorts of things, covering your cough and your sneeze can prevent the swine flu spread.

Disneyland for Young and Young at Hearts

Posted by admin in Leisure, Travel on 03 31st, 2009

I decided that for my son’s fifth birthday, we will go to Disneyland. We have been to local destinations and theme parks but it is always nice and cool if we will experience Disneyland. They said that you are missing half of your life in your childhood or adulthod if you haven’t been here. It is actually my first time to go to Disneyland since my famly is not into traveling before.

When I had my own family, I told myself that I will do everything to change my life and the life of my future kids. One by one, things are happening and I am so proud of myself and my husband that we are trying our best to give the best to our child. It is going to be an awesome experience and I know that my son would really appreciate seeing Mickey and Minnie Mouse out there, live!

It is always fun and exciting to go back to your youth. This is what Disneyland is offering people, young and old. It is not bad to be a kid at heart again and again, it will make you look young and feel young and that is the beauty of it. So, if you have time, in your lifetime, stop by and be a kid once again.

Famous Beaches

Posted by admin in Travel on 02 26th, 2009

For me the beach is probably the most relaxing place you can go to here on planet Earth. Beaches all over the world never fail to attract large numbers of tourists every time. Let me give you some beaches that you need to visit.

First is the Larvotto Beach in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The beaches in Monaco are pricey. You have to plan your vacation in this place well, bring with you lots of cash and make sure your credit cards are within reach because the whole adventure will cost you. Next is the Poipu Beach in Kauai, Hawaii. This is the best beach for the family because Poipu beach offers fun, kid-friendly activities that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

In Poipu, the whole family can take their vacation to a higher, more exciting level by engaging in different activities such as camping, riding, bicycling downhill, surfing, hiking, scuba diving, and other kid-friendly activities. But the best that Poipu can offer will have to be the helicopter rides the whole family can take.

Kids are allowed to experience the view of Poipu from the top, as long as their parents or guardians will accompany them during the trip. This is probably the most extraordinary way to enjoy your whole stay in Poipu.  So, pack your suitcase now, it is time you witness the natural beauty these beaches can offer for yourself. Travel with your loved ones or travel alone, you will not feel lonely at all because this beach has so much fun and relaxation to give.

Seven Wonders of the World

Posted by admin in Travel on 01 23rd, 2009

Since ancient times, numerous “seven wonders” lists have been created. The Seven Wonders of the World are the most magnificent sites known to man. Choosing the top Seven Wonders of the World is a tradition which is started by the ancient Greeks who believed that seven is the magical number. These sites are very special and are known for their beauty and architecture. These sites are not only man made but many of them are natural also.

They are chosen from all around the world. These wonders are the special protected monuments and sites which are helping in promoting the tourism of the world. These are very important since they are also helping in maintaining healthy foreign relationship and promote the concept of globalization. The latest wonders of the World came out as; Great Wall of China, Petra, Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, Chichen Itza, Roman Coliseum and Taj Mahal.  All of these places are worth to visit.

But there are numerous wonders of the world that cannot be included in the seven pack size. These wonders are enclosed in different other categories such as forgotten world, wonders of the industrial world, wonders of the ancient world, wonders of the medieval world, wonders of the modern world and even natural wonders of the world but whatever category they belong these sites are the most precious pieces of architecture present on this planet of life, so we need to take good care of it.

Where to stay, Hotels or hostels?

Posted by admin in Travel Tips on 11 24th, 2008

When you travel, your lodging can become the most colorful and important part of your trip. The main question I always ask when I travel is, should I stay in a hostel or a hotel? Hotels are often ranked from two to five stars while hostels are not usually ranked in any such fashion. Hostels provide multiple beds in rooms you share with other travelers. This can range from two or three beds, bunk bed style or regular, up to ten beds and more. Hotels never split accommodations with other travelers. You would be shocked to enter your room in a hotel and see someone sleeping on your bed. The range and styles of lodgings are tremendous and both types of accommodations have its positive and negative sides.

Hotels usually provide nicer accommodations than hostels. The sheets are turned each night and sometimes there are mints on your pillows. Hotels are typically cleaner, quiet, and have a shower in each room. Most hotels are made for peace of mind and luxury. If you have a hectic vacation schedule planned, hotels will usually furnish better sleep. While the prime advantage of a hostel, by far, is cost. The second advantage is fun. Many hostels I have stayed in have games or other activities where you can meet other people. Hostels I have stayed in have sponsored pool parties, movie nights, and free beer nights. Hostels are often friendlier places where you can meet other travelers, share stories and listen to their tips.

The most important disadvantage of staying in a hotel is cost; Hotels are expensive. Another disadvantage is that staying in a hotel is an isolated experience. There is less chance that you will meet fellow travelers and talk with them unless you are sunbathing around the hotel pool or something. A hotel provides less excitement, adventure and opportunities to make friends. While the disadvantages of staying in a hostel is that they can be a cacophony of young travelers who want to party. You also might hear people snoring and beds squeaking. Some hostels even have curfews and lockouts.

Taking all of this into account before you travel can greatly influence your trip. If you do not want any hassle, have money to burn and just want peace and quiet, then a hotel is definitely for you. If you want to save your money, meet lots of new people, have stories to tell, and do not mind where you sleep as much, then a hostel is right for you.

Mixing work with pleasure

Posted by admin in Leisure on 10 18th, 2008

Mixing work with pleasure is an important aspect of business travel, according to a recent study. Smart planners are looking for destinations that provide state-of-the-art convention facilities in addition to a variety of accommodations and amenities such as rejuvenating spas, fine restaurants, high-fashion shopping, challenging golf and cultural offerings.

Once they have chosen the right location for their company getaway, and they have planned the overall scheme of events, another factor than can contribute greatly to the success of the gathering is planning for some company and individual employee recognition time.

You can take some time to not only plan for the future but also to reflect and celebrate the progress you have already made as a team. Taking the time to reflect also helps management to recognize the unique gift mixes of various people and this can help to better plan for future assignments. And when employees sense that management has a vested interest in knowing what they uniquely excel at then employees tend to own the mission and vision of the company in a whole new way.

So, just remember to choose a location that is inspiring and relaxing, if you mix in a little work and a little pleasure, and if you take time to celebrate the history and progress of the team, then your corporate event is likely to prove more worthwhile than you had ever imagined.
